James Beard Foundation Award For Excellence

The semifinalist for the 2015 James Beard Awards have been announced. James Beard revolutionized the food in America with hosting the first food program on television back in 1946 and believed strongly in local products and markets. James Beard helped to shape the way Americans food lifestyles by encouraging American Chefs. Winning a James Beard Award for many is a remarkable accomplishment in the culinary world.

On this 25th anniversary of the James Beard Awards, an award many Americans strive to win, the hosting city is in Central Indiana’s backdoor, Chicago. Giving a big nod to the Great Lakes and Midwest is also a big nod to a few of the phenomenal chefs and beer professionals in Indiana. We are pleased to share the following have earned a semi-finalist spot on the 2015 James Beard Awards for Restaurant and Chef.
