Spoke & Steele is excited to announce the hiring of Erin Gillum as their Chef de Cuisine. In January, the restaurant hired Chef Greg Hardesty (James Beard Nominated Chef) as their culinary creative director with the task of creating approachable menu items that position Spoke & Steele as a downtown neighborhood restaurant. Chef Gillum will support and drive Chef Hardesty’s inspirations which incorporate his most fond food memories and his love for integrating international flavors into Midwest dishes.

Spoke & Steele is an American contemporary neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The restaurant draws on influences from around the world and from the seasonal artisanal ingredients available from producers throughout Indiana and the Midwest. The restaurant has a subtle racing and muscle car inspiration throughout the interior design including the menu. Autograph menu items like the Pagenaud Steak Frites, personally developed by IndyCar driver Simon Pagenaud, bring his French influence to the table every night. Spoke & Steele has a custom barrel-aged cocktail program setting themselves apart from many more traditional cocktail programs.
