23rd annual Lotus World Music & Arts Festival: Bloomington
Every fall, the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival fills the streets of downtown Bloomington with an eclectic blend of global sound and spectacle. In this 23rd year, 30+ different performers and artists from all over the globe take the stage in venues across the heart of the city, and attendees can experience an entire world of music in one blissful, boisterous weekend. From pavement-quaking outdoor dance tents to contemplative church venues and historic theaters, and from family-friendly arts in the park to a swirling evening street scene, the Lotus vibe is one of exuberant energy, vivid colors, and delectably diverse soundscapes.

The Festival includes both ticketed and free events. On Friday and Saturday nights, a wristband becomes your passport to explore featured showcases in all downtown venues from 6:30pm until midnight. Explore diverse offerings in the Food Truck Village, curated by celebrity chef David Tallent. A thrilling opening concert launches the festivities on Thursday night and the moving World Spirit concert closes the Festival on Sunday afternoon. Free, family-friendly happenings include the Festival Arts Village (Fri/Sat pm), the popular Lotus in the Park (Sat 12-5), and "Around the Body, Around the World", a month-long exhibition of gorgeous global attire.
