The Community Table: Recipes & Stories from the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan and Beyond

Jennifer Rubenstein, editor of Edible Indy, will be the facilitator for a conversation with The Community Table cookbook authors Katja Goldman and Lisa Rotmil and their cookbook and recipes that put a modern, lighter spin on beloved Jewish fare. SPECIAL: taste-test select recipes, courtesy of Chef Jeffery Bricker and his team of Ivy Tech culinary students who will prepare two different recipes from the cookbook. The audience and the authors will vote for their favorites.
Rabbi Benjamin Goldstein, the JCC’s mashgiach (Kosher food supervisor), has worked with closely with Chef Jeff Bricker and the three students to help them understand how to select, purchase and prepare Kosher food. These lessons will give these three students a leg up for their future careers in the culinary arts.
