FAIR OAKS FARMS TO HOST STATE OF INDIANA LARGE PUMPKIN WEIGH-OFF AT COWTOBERFEST
Fair Oaks Farms, the nation’s largest, sustainable agritourism destination, will host the Inaugural Indiana Pumpkin Growers Association Large Pumpkin Weigh-off at Fair Oaks Farms at Cowtoberfest on Oct. 10.
Check in for the pumpkins begins between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. (CST) with the weigh-off starting at 1 p.m. Awards will follow immediately after the weigh-off. The $10,000 in prize money donated by NITCO will allow cash awards for 15 places.
You are encouraged to attend this event as a great kick off to the Fall season and just to feast your eyes on some of the biggest pumpkins you will ever see! There will be many large pumpkins to see — two of the pumpkins will be carved by Jon Neill, this year’s winner of Food Network’s Halloween Wars. Neill’s pumpkins will be left on display at Fair Oaks Farms throughout the Halloween season!
The pumpkin weigh-off coincides with Fair Oaks Farms Cowtoberfest event this year that will be held Oct. 10-11, 2015 at Fair Oaks Farms!
