Get Cultured! Potluck

Join us for a potluck, talk, and culture exchange at Seven Steeples Farm, May 3rd from 6 to 9pm. Bring some of your own fermented dishes or cultures (kombucha SCOBYs, sourdough starter, kefir grains, yogurt, etc.) to share and swap with other fermenters. This potluck is open to everyone from expert fermenters to interested beginners. We also welcome complementary non-fermented dishes. Tara Whitsitt will talk about her traveling education project, Fermentation on Wheels. She will also brief the audience on fermentation, especially the differences between wild fermentation and fermentation through inoculation. Her talk will be followed by a starter culture swap on the bus. All our events are free and open to the public, however, if you would like to take home a culture, we ask you please bring something to swap or $10 per culture.
