Kombucha making 101 Indianapolis

Edible Indy presents kombucha making 101 hosted by the Garden Table. In this hands-on class, students will receive an information booklet with recipes, kombucha SCOBY, half-gallon brewing vessel, and make their own kombucha in class to take home. Chef Joshua, co-owner Fermenti Artisan, will educate students on the process, science and health benefits of kombucha, and make kombucha with them in class.

Shua Chef
Chef Joshua Henson is co-owner of Fermenti Artisan, Indianapolis-based producers of raw fermented vegetables.  Over his 25 years in restaurants, his art of food took him into seeking to understand how the food he creates affects the bodies and health of his customers, how food can heal the body.  The first step in this healing is to heal the gut. With so much information coming out about the importance of probiotics and gut health, it can seem overwhelming on exactly how to incorporate fermented foods into one's diet.  Chef Joshua now dedicates his decades of culinary experience to reconnecting people with their food, where it comes from and how it affects their bodies.
