Rosenvolk German Medieval Festival in Ferdinand, Indiana.

Attend the 3rd annual Rosenvolk German Medieval Festival.

This festival will feature more than 20 acts of music and amusement. There will be full contact jousting led by the four-time National Champion and host of the History Channel’s “Full Metal Jousting,” Shane Adams.

Local craft beers and mead, a traditional medieval drink, will be available in the beer tent. Your food choices will be as varied as the entertainment.  Do not forget to try the turkey legs!

Craft vendors include a blacksmith, leather crafters, a costumer, jewelry makers, a soap maker, stained glass, mask makers, an apothecary, a vellum maker, and many others.  Renaissance dance classes will be taught during the Masquerade Ball on Saturday evening.

Date: October 20   9:00 a.m. – 9:00 pm*

          October 21   10:00 am – 10:00 pm

          October 22   11:00 am – 6:00 pm

*There will be no entrance fee on October 20 and $2 for the beer tent.

There will be games for all, including hatchet and knife throwing, slingshot shooting, and badger hole (corn hole). Jacob’s ladder will challenge even the most athletic.
