Lotus Education & Arts Foundation set up at the DrinkIN event in Bloomington on April 8th.

On Saturday, April 8, 2017, thousands of beer lovers gathered at Historic Woolery Mill in Bloomington, Indiana on a beautiful, clear, 70 degree day for the only spring beer fest that directly supports the Hoosier brewing community.

50+ Hoosier breweries and guests poured at the Brewers of Indiana Guild’s annual spring fundraiser. The nonprofit trade association relies on its annual festivals and the support of sponsors such as HopCat to fund its mission to support Indiana breweries through legislation, education, and promotion.

Additionally, $3 from every Early Bird, General Admission, and Designated Driver ticket sold to the Guild's annual festivals benefits local nonprofit charities.

Thanks to Hoosier craft beer lovers, Lotus Education & Arts Foundation will benefit from #BtownBfest to the tune of $7,323. Based in Bloomington, the mission of the Lotus Education & Arts Foundation is to create opportunities to experience, celebrate, and explore the diversity of the world’s cultures through music and the arts.

"We couldn't be more pleased with Saturday's celebration," said Tristan Schmid, Communications Director for the Brewers of Indiana Guild. "It was a fun, safe event in support of great causes in a great community at an amazing venue."

Historic Woolery Mill, the home of Bloomington Craft Beer Festival since its inception, will likely undergo renovations in the coming year. The owners have invited the Guild to host next year's festival at the location again.

The next Brewers of Indiana Guild fundraiser, the 22nd Annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival, takes place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Military Park in downtown Indy. Public tickets go on sale Friday, June 16 at 10 a.m. More information will be available at drinkIN.beer and on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook via @drinkindiana.
