VOTE FOR EDIBLE INDY! EDIBLE INDY IS NOMINATED FOR TWO NORTH AMERICAN EDDY AWARDS
Edible Indy has been nominated for two North American Eddy Awards for best video, The Pear Man and for best website. Over 1,200 entries were submitted and nominees were chosen from a panel of elite judges in the food and journalism industry. Edible Indy has two of the four Indiana nominations, with Edible Michiana securing the other two nominations.
Edible Indy is part of the Edible Communities made up of over 85 publication in North America. The Eddy Awards are awards given out for excellence in journalism each year. Over 50 well know judges such as Rovenia Brock of Dr. Oz Medical Advisory Board, Melissa Clark, food reporter for New York Times Food section, Dana Cowin, Food & Wine’s Editor-in-Chief, Marion Nestle, a prize winning author and Paulette Goddard Professor are among the superstar panel who have chosen this year’s nominees from over the 58 publishers submitting nearly 1,200 entries in 23 categories. So many of the judges said how difficult it was to pick their favorites because the entries were top-notch.
Edible Indy has been nominated for their Edible Indy Minute video, The Pear Man. A short two minute video on Rick Greiner, an Indianapolis based artist who creates one-of-a-kind Raku Pears at the Broad Ripple Art Center. He is been elected as an Indiana Artisan and his pears were featured in Edible Indy’s 2014 Fall issue. The video was shot, produced and edited by Indianapolis film producer, Kolton Dallas and directed by Jennifer Rubenstein, publisher of Edible Indy. Edible Indy was also nominated for edibleindy.com. Their website has been considered a sleek, sophisticated tool for anyone interested in the Central Indiana food movement and a resource many use on a daily basis.
