Eskenazi Farmers Market

Why We Love It: Every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., The Commonground in front of the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital, located at 720 Eskenazi Ave. in Indianapolis, will be transformed into a farmers’ market with several vendors, local farmers and games. The market goes throughout the warm months from May 15 to Sept. 18. The event will occur rain or shine. The farmers’ market will also include music, such as live concerts and a DJ, information on mindful eating, and experiential activities like stretch band exercises and meditation. Guests, patients and employees alike can enjoy the market every Tuesday free of charge. The Eskenazi Health Farmers’ Market is part of the innovative Eskenazi Health Wellness program. Eskenazi Health Wellness began in 2005 as a way to encourage employees and others to place wellness and health as a top priority. While the market’s aim is to attract Eskenazi Health employees and others on the IUPUI campus, all visitors and guests are encouraged to stop by and visit the farmers’ market. The Eskenazi Health Parking Garage is accessible for patrons and is located just west of the market on Dr. Harvey Middleton Way.
