- 3 diced habaneros
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 28-ounce cans of tomato sauce
- 1 can tomato paste
Pulverize habaneros, onion and three garlic in a food processor.
Combine processed ingredients with tomato sauce and paste on the stove. Simmer 20 minutes. Add more tomato paste if a thicker sauce is desired. Add salt and pepper to taste.
For a more durable present, if giving as a gift, can the sauce. Or, place it in a jar and refrigerate; give within a day or two with a note to consume within the week.
