The Farmer and The Flea Outdoor Market , a new kind of farmers market, had its inaugural opening day on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 12 pm noon to 4 pm. The market will run every Saturday through October 30. This new market is located in the massive, newly paved parking lot at The Circle City Industrial Complex, 1125 E. Brookside Ave., 46202, giving that area another opportunity to support local artisans, producers and makers.

It is not focused solely on farm produced goods and produce, but the market will encompass  craftspeople of all types. There will be live music, adult beverages and other opportunities to enjoy the market from start to finish. It’s a weekend block party with all the best shopping mixed right in.

Every vendor will be provided with a 17’ x 17’ booth space so that when they place their 10 x 10 pop-up tents in the center of their booths, it will make it so there is a 7 ft spacing between each vendor. The walkways and aisle ways for customers and patrons are 27’ wide to also help promote and achieve proper distancing in today’s climate. Each vendor booth also includes two full-size dedicated parking spots that are located directly behind the vendor’s booth. This is to ensure that the vendors and their staff have their own parking spots and an easier method of setting up and breaking down the booth.

Discounts on booth spaces are given for vendors who want to book and pay in full and upfront for a half-season or full-season commitment. Half-season is 11 markets and the full-seasonis 22 markets. The market-to-market pop-up booth rate is priced reasonably to help vendors have a higher success and profit.

Vendors at The Farmer and The Flea Outdoor Market range from honey and candles to tea and organic dog treats. The list includes Hardwood Honey, Whale & Fiddle Co. Apothecary, Rare Brew, Pet Lovers Organic Bakery and more. If those items don’t spark interest, there are also vendors that offer chocolate, cider, vegan goods, even plants.

There will be numerous special events happening throughout the entire season in the same parking lot that the market is in, including but not limited to car shows, roller skating, the Fowling Warehouse, a 4th of July party, Halloween party, beer festivals, and much more. Learn more about this market by following them on Instagram @farmerandfleaindy.
