I can remember when I was a child growing up in Goshen, Indiana, my favorite two treats during the summer were waiting in line for the black raspberry hand-dipped cone from The Chief in Goshen (and everyone up there knows the Chief and still waits in line for a treat) and ordering a chocolate shake from the window of Flavor Freeze in Dunlap. Those memories are engrained in my mind. And now that I have a family of my own, I love taking them to different spots to get a cool taste of a sweet treat while making memories with them that I hope will last a lifetime.
