Loco For JoCo Brewing Bus Tour

Edible Indy was a proud 2015 participant in this year’s Loco For JoCo Brewing event on February 8th, a beer bus tour of Johnson County brewing culture.

The tour featured bus transportation by Indy Brew Bus and stopped at five Johnson County locations: Oaken Barrel Brewing Company (established in 1994), Planetary Brewing (a nano brewery), MashCraft Brewing (allows you to bring in your own food), Brew-By-U (offers on premise brewing and instruction) and Taxman Brewing Company (brewery and gastropub in Bargersville).

Beers featured ranged from stouts and ambers to Belgians. Appetizers were provided at Oaken Barrel (quesadillas and bacon dip) and Taxman (hummus, housemade chips and pommes frites in pork fat) by their kitchens, Planetary Brewing featured honey and hops popcorn in dry ice from Revery Restaurant in Greenwood and MashCraft Brewing offered pizza from Zoey’s Pizzeria.

The event was sponsored by The Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, Journey Johnson County, The Johnson County Community Foundation and Susan Decker Media. Music was provided by The Retro Brothers at Planetary Brewing and Taxman Brewing.
