Ingredients
- 12 chicken drumsticks, skin on
- 1⅓ cups flour
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ¼-½ tsp turmeric
- 2 eggs
- 1-2 tsp hot sauce, such as Frank’s
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- ½ cup margarine, melted (1 stick)
Instructions
Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
Prepare the coating mixtures: Place flour and spices into a resealable bag. Using a fork, beat eggs in a medium bowl; stir in hot sauce and mustard.
Place drumsticks into bag of flour mixture; shake to coat chicken. Dip each drumstick into egg mixture, then shake in flour mixture again.
Place drumsticks onto prepared baking sheet. Drizzle 1 tablespoon melted margarine over each drumstick (it’s OK if it runs down the sides). Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Bake chicken on center rack for 45-50 minutes, until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork.
