Ingredients

SERVINGS: Makes a quart
  • ¼ cup dried tulsi
  • 2 tablespoons dried rose petals
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger root, chopped
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Honey

Preparation

Add tulsi, rose petals and ginger to a quart jar. Fill the jar halfway with apple cider vinegar. Fill the rest of the way with your honey. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Add a square of parchment paper between the jar and the lid to prevent rusting. Label the jar and allow your oxymel to sit in a cool dark place for 2–4 weeks (4 weeks will give you a more flavorful and potent oxymel).

Strain the herbs from the liquid using a clean strainer and bowl; add your oxymel back into a clean jar and store in a cool dark place.
