Frona Mae for the Soul

If you happen to head to downtown Indianapolis anytime soon, you should be sure to visit Frona Mae Dessert Cafe. This cafe, named after one of the owner's grandmother's, features a wide range of desserts, and also offers salads, sandwiches, soups, coffees, teas and don't forget beer, wine and champagne. The inside of the cafe offers a fresh and quiet open space to enjoy lunch and sweets, while allowing guests the ability to watch the busy city life outside on Washington Street.

When you're there, we recommend you try Chef Becca's bread pudding, which was her grandmother's recipe and is served warm with a red wine and fruit sauce. They also offer a unique Mille Crêpes cake, which looks divine.

You can find the cafe at 38 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, online at FronaMae.com, by phone at 317.820.5701. Open M-Th 11am - 9pm, F and S 11am - midnight, closed Sundays.
