Margherita Pizza

A pizza classic, you can't go wrong with the basic deliciousness of margherita pizza.

Ingredients

  • Basic Pizza Dough recipe
  • ¼ cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large fresh tomato, sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, chunked
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh basil

Preparation

 

Preheat over to 450℉.*

To make pizza, roll Basic Pizza Dough Recipe into a thin large circle on floured surface. Place dough on a baking stone, large greased cast iron skillet, cookie sheet or pizza sheet. Brush crust with olive oil, spread marinara on crust and sprinkle with garlic. Top with tomatoes and mozzarella. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 12 minutes. Place fresh basil on the top. Bake an additional three minutes.

*Grill time will be about 5­–7 minutes.
