Jessica Gershman is the founder of Self Love Collective and a passionate believer in the power of self care. Through her work as a certified yoga instructor, an accomplished home chef, and a dedicated mindfulness practitioner she has created a holistic program that supports women, especially moms, in the crucial art of self care.
The daughter of a sommelier and two passionate foodies, Jessica has had a long love affair with all things culinary. She attended The Art Institute of Indianapolis completing a culinary certificate program and is a published, award-winning recipe author.
She is a twice-certified yoga instructor, earning her RYT 200 certification from The Yoga Studio in Indianapolis, Indiana and RYT 500 hour certification through Shamrock Wellness in Noblesville, Indiana. In 2009, Jessica found her place on the mat after the birth of her first daughter as a way to reconnect with herself and her body. What started out as a purely physical practice evolved into a way of life that led her to establish a private practice, Karma Yoga, in 2014.
Jessica has experience juggling the demands of career, as a successful commercial real estate investment manager, with the life-changing role of “mom.” As a devoted wife and mother to two young daughters and two step-sons, Jessica continues to find inspiration through the challenges of everyday life and supports other women in their own journey to slow down, to breathe, and to let go.
She does this by using Self Love Collective as a platform for sharing her personal story of overcoming disordered eating, redefining her sense of self, and finding ways to feed herself first as a foundation for a more joyful and less stressful life.
