Yoga For All
Blooming Life Yoga Studio + School’s passion is making yoga accessible to all people. We know starting yoga for the first time can be intimidating. “I don’t know what to expect. What if I can’t keep up? What do I wear? Am I doing this correctly?” All of these feelings are normal! But you must begin the journey to change your life. Those first steps represent the essence of the Yoga Tradition - you having the courage to show up and try something new.
Blooming Life Yoga is a holistic, philosophy-based studio honoring the ancient Yoga Tradition through embodiment practices of breath, movement, visualization, intention, and universal yogic philosophy.
Learning varieties of breath work, yoga poses, and different types of meditation help you regroup and regain empowerment to live your best life. With practice, you quickly build a toolbox to help you ease daily anxieties and stresses through breath techniques, which anchor the feeling of ease into the body. Your toolbox will also include personal courage and empowerment to respond to situations with clarity, rather than react. You will learn to listen to the wisdom of your intuitive heart and physical body, and deepen appreciation and love for yourself. Yoga is ultimately a way of living at peace within your heart, respecting all religions while embracing and celebrating diversity.
Enjoy a variety of classes seven days a week, with incredible weekend workshops and trainings to open up new curiosities. Our diverse teachers represent all ages and backgrounds. Daily, we welcome open-hearted people who value beauty through diversity in religion, sexual orientation, and physical abilities.
Blooming Life is a Yoga Alliance leader and continuing education provider. We offer certified yoga schools with our celebrated 200-hour, advanced 300-hour, and Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings. BLY’s founder, Lily Kessler, will have her yoga training textbook 'The History & Art of Living Yoga: Humanity's Quest for Nourishment' available to the public and other yoga schools in 2021. Her book is currently used in three global training programs, including Dr. Sue Morter's BodyAwake Yoga online program.
We offer a monthly Community Night to explore important topics through books, movies, and discussion, while enjoying a vegetarian potluck. You are invited to join our monthly community Reiki Circle, and every Monday evening at 5:45pm we host a donation-based Yoga for Recovery (Y12SR). This offering’s powerful framework is designed to inspire compassionate awareness, change, and healing using the tools and principles of the 12-Step program and yoga to address the physical, mental, and spiritual.
We are a ‘green’ studio which gives back to the land and people, supporting environmental and culturally artistic efforts, locally and abroad. We support organizations for the Voiceless, namely working with animals and children. In turn, we offer humanitarian, cultural, and spiritual pilgrimages to Peru, India, and Costa Rica.
Come as you are to the sanctuary of Blooming Life to holistically harmonize body, mind, and spirit and heal from the inside out. We are committed to YOU and your yoga and wellness experience. No matter your age or ability, we are YOUR yoga studio.
